02 January 2025, Chhattisgarh – Diageo India, in collaboration with BharatCares and the District Transport Office (DTO) Kabirdham, Chhattisgarh, has unveiled a new Driver Sensitisation Tab Lab, under its Wrong Side of the Road (WSTOR) initiative. The centre was inaugurated by Shri. Vijay Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and adds to Diageo India’s existing network of 55 Tab Labs at Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across 10 states in India. This initiative, aligned with Diageo India’s ‘Spirit of Progress’ ESG action plan, reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting responsible consumption, raising awareness about the risks of drink driving through immersive and practical learning experiences.
The newly launched Tab Lab offers a mandatory 45-minute module for all new drivers obtaining their licenses from affiliated RTOs. This module incorporates engaging video content and behavioural assessments, aiming to influence responsible driving habits and reduce road accidents caused by hasty driving, drink driving, and speeding. By simulating real-life scenarios, the program emphasizes the importance of safety, making a tangible impact on driver behaviour and road safety.
