Overview
We’re working towards a lower carbon future and are following a science-based approach to drive the pace and scale of change required. Our targets to achieve net zero emissions demonstrate our commitment to mitigating our impact on climate change. We need significant action to create a sustainable low-carbon future and limit the damaging effects of climate change.
To achieve this goal, we have developed decarbonisation roadmaps detailing the measures we are taking and will take to reduce emissions, also ensuring that new sites are developed with low-emission technologies embedded from the outset. Across our supply chain, we are clear on the decarbonisation levers that we control and the solutions that require collaboration with others to progress.
Our Spirit of Progress targets
- Reducing our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030, reaching net zero in our direct operations by 2040.
- Reducing our scope 3 emissions by 26% by 2030 and achieving net zero across scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2050.
