Established in 1942 by Don Julio González who spotted a unique opportunity in the production of tequila. He chose quality over quantity, painstakingly planting each agave further apart to allow proper room to grow and fully mature before harvesting.

Handcrafted process

Today, we continue to use only the highest-calibre, fully matured and ripened blue agave, hand-selected from the rich clay soils of the Los Altos region to create Don Julio tequila. Our team of distillers oversees the entire handcrafted process to create a consistent and distinctive rich taste.

Don Julio joined our portfolio in 2015 as part of our strategy to acquire premium-plus brands in fast-growing categories.
