Double Victory for Godawan Artisanal Indian Single Malt: Wins at Whiskey Wash and Superior Taste Awards

With a double silver at the Whiskey Wash Awards and honours at the Superior Taste Awards, the brand marks a milestone with 75+ awards.

Bangalore, February 5, 2025: Godawan Artisanal Indian Single Malt Whisky, the brainchild of The Good Craft Co. from Diageo India, continues its winning streak by securing two silver medals at the inaugural 2025 Whiskey Wash Awards. This win comes right after the brand was honoured at the 2025 Superior Taste Awards – with 3 and 2 stars.

Both whisky variants – Godawan 01 Rich and Rounded and Godawan 02 Fruit and Spice – were awarded silver medals at The Whiskey Wash Awards. The inaugural edition, hosted by the leading whisky publication, evaluated over 300 expressions to identify the best in class. Godawan emerged as a standout, being the only Indian single malt whisky to receive recognition, reinforcing its position as a global contender in the single malt category.

Building on this success, Godawan achieved further recognition at the Superior Taste Awards 2025, an esteemed certification by the International Taste Institute. The awards were as follows:

• Godawan Single Malt, Exclusive to the Palaces of Taj – 3 Stars (Exceptional Product)
• Godawan 01 Rich and Rounded – 3 Stars (Exceptional Product)
• Godawan 02 Fruit and Spice – 2 Stars (Remarkable Product)

This win marks a first-time accolade for the exclusive limited edition exclusive to Taj, which was launched in July 2024. The small-batch release of 300 bottles was meticulously crafted to celebrate the artistry and dedication that define both Godawan and the Palaces of Taj, as well as their joint commitment to conservation and sustainability.
