Preserve Water for Life

Water is the basis of life and our most precious resource. The increasing concern about the scarcity of freshwater resources across the globe is alarming, thus we are taking measures to replenish more water than we consume by 2026.

We have successfully implemented various water replenishment projects as we move closer to our Society 2030 Goals

  • We have improved water use efficiency in distilleries by 25% and Packaging by 22% against the target of 40% by 2030.
  • Replenished 4,62,182 cubic metres of water- annually and 84,000 litres/day of potable water under its Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programme.

Further in line with our focus on Water Stewardship, we are collaborating with other stakeholders such as the local community, Panchayat, NGOs, and other private companies present in the catchment to manage water better and lead collective action in critical water basins. We have initiated work on collective action in water across our manufacturing unit in Alwar (Rajasthan). In addition to identifying opportunities for collaboration with other stakeholders, we are working on various water replenishment projects in the catchment of the Ruparel river basin.

As a part of our Society 2030 Goals, our water replenishment projects during the year included reforestation, construction of rainwater harvesting structures, borewell rejuvenation, desilting of ponds, and wetland restoration, among others.

Our water efficiency metrics have been showing an improving trend year-on-year and we are on course to achieve our Society 2030 Goals.
