This year Diageo India hosted a series of panel talks, where eminent speakers spoke about gender roles and changing perspectives in the corporate world. 

Various prominent personalities, especially from the F&B industry brought with them a breadth of experience of being part of different industries where they are responsible for making a huge impact as women leaders or championing inclusion and being allies for gender equality and therefore, are an inspiration to many. They were invited to share stories and experiences on how they changed traditional narratives and to also share their experiences of their own Allies. 

In a panel discussion, moderated by Aarif Aziz, CHRO, Diageo India, we had speakers like Faye D’Souza - Senior Journalist, Sairee Chahal - Founder & CEO Sheroes and
Anand Kripalu - MD & CEO, Diageo India. The theme was about how allyship can help drive Equality and how all of us can implement change through our day-to-day actions and behaviours. 

Positive Gender Portrayal

Our ambition is to change the industry narrative in India through market-leading practices and policies. To educate our employees about how Diageo brands fairly and positively portray women across the board and to showcase our Progressive Gender Portrayal framework, a workshop on Positive Gender Portrayal was conducted by Julie Bramham, CMO, Diageo India.

Julie Bramham, Chief Marketing Officer, Diageo India conducted a workshop on how  Diageo has been working to increase inclusion and diversity in marketing and how we positively portray women across the board. This includes progressive gender portrayal in advertising and by supporting initiatives for gender equality. Diageo has reviewed its creative work globally to question how it represents, perceives, and characterizes gender in advertising.

The entire week saw a photo booth that was well-visited by the kindred spirits who gleefully support the cause of #BeAnAlly and #EachforEqual.
